Charito
The history of the Charito Group begins in Andalusia in 1953, when Fina decides to help her grandmother at the sandwich shop she runs.
Decades later, here we are.
More active than ever, with no intention of stopping.
Because we will keep making history with

The origins of
Years later, she marries Juan and they decide to move to Catalonia with their first daughter. They settle in Lleida, where the Charito story begins.
The beginnings, from
fair to fair
In 1965 they began opening sandwich and fast-food stands at Catalonia's main travelling fairs, eventually running up to six at the same time.
Around that time they decided to open their own bakery to meet the needs of all their establishments. That bakery is still active today.
The first
restaurant
In 1979, the couple decided to open their first Charito Bar restaurant. It was located in Sant Climent Sescebes (Girona), near the General Álvarez de Castro military base. The high number of military customers created strong demand and the restaurant became popular.
The travelling stands continued operating and also began expanding into major events throughout Catalonia, including concerts by El Último de la Fila and the Paris-Dakar (both in 1988), among others.
The generational
change…
In 1993, the couple's children took over the business. Little by little, they left the fairs and focused on the main nightlife areas. Charito Bar became so successful that it quickly became known throughout the province.
In 2014 the new restaurant opened in Figueres, now the group's headquarters.
